Artist-in-Residence: How it works

The Artist-in-Residence from Ignition Scheme 1.0 (2016-2019) provided in-depth training, with tailor-made syllabi to 40-50 students from four schools. Led by professional artists, the programme developed the students’ technical skills in different art forms which cultivated their interest in art. It also helped students build up life skills and a positive attitude towards life.

Based on the experience in Ignition Scheme 1.0, the Ignition Scheme 2.0 provides students with more in-depth and extensive nurturing opportunities and paves the way for a possible career in the arts.

  • Pottery (Sam Shui Natives Association Lau Pun Cheung School)
  • Visual Art (Hong Kong Red Cross John F. Kennedy Centre)
