About Us

Background

The Jean C K Ho Family Foundation, established by Jean Ho and her two children in 2011, is a Hong Kong registered charitable organization. The Foundation’s strategic focus emerged from the family’s love of the arts, and the family’s belief in its power to transform lives.

The Foundation awards grants to support projects that use the Arts to empower and uplift underprivileged children. The Foundation believes that it takes time to make a measureable difference, and prefers to focus on a few selected, long-term projects.

Mission Statement

The Jean C K Ho Family Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the lives and personal development of disadvantaged children in Hong Kong by harnessing the power of the Visual and Performing Arts as catalysts for change.

Art, in its many forms, speaks a language that transcends cultures and backgrounds. Exposure to art reaches out to children physically, mentally and emotionally. It gives them a chance to broaden their horizons, and change the way they see and experience the world. Art can overcome social and communication barriers, raise self-esteem and self-confidence, ultimately, giving children an opportunity to transform their lives.
