Children Concert Band 2011

The Project

This project provided weekly woodwind lessons for 22 primary students from ethnic minority communities and new arrivals in the Kwai Tsing district. The aim was to develop self-esteem, team work and cultural integration through learning a musical instrument and ensemble training. The Children’s Concert Band was formed, and they performed in community centres and schools at the end of the year.
